We Have a Lot to Give Thanks for This Canadian Thanksgiving.

We have our memories of family, fun, and food.

Monday was the Canadian Thanksgiving Holiday. There are a lot of great things about the Thanksgiving holiday. I would suspect that it is the same with the American Thanksgiving that comes later on this year.

Of course, food is one of the main themes of thanksgiving. I remember as a child in elementary school drawing and coloring the traditional turkey that everyone had. Funny but I don’t remember having any vegetarians in my class, grade, school, or for that matter my little town.

One of the traditions of the meal was the grace that was said before we ate. We mostly said grace before meals but it was a short version. On that holiday we had more to thank God for.

We didn’t have extra family to our home other than Grandma and Grandpa back in the day as most of our relatives lived significantly farther away than simply coming for a meal. My parents’ family lived at least a day away.
