Today is my Brother’s Birthday and he is Somewhere in the United States.
The last time I checked he was in Kansas City.
Today is the 10th of November. It is my brother’s birthday today. In my family, I have both a younger and an older sister, and my brother Joe.
We are a close family. Both my sisters live on Vancouver Island in the capital city of Victoria. This is an hour and a half ferry ride from Vancouver where both Joe and I lived on the outskirts. He used to live on one side of the city by the water and I lived on the other side up the mountains.
Now we are both retired and have moved out of the city and we are about 20 minutes away from one another.
Italy
18 years ago I decided that I wanted to go to Italy to see the place where my father was born in San Giovanni in Fiore, Calabria, and to spend time in the area around Tuscany. I read about and listened to an interview on how to save and make something like this happen.
So, I put aside a small amount of money each payday into a separate savings account. I did not speak Italian but because I worked for a university I had free classes. I took several years of Italian lessons so that I could communicate while in Italy.
