This is such a moving article. While I don't know you, somehow, I feel proud of you for what you gave your mother - peace of mind and heart. The journey of grief goes in fits and starts. When I lost my mother, I thought I had already grieved her as she no longer recognized me. The fact was that it wasn't until she passed that I started on the grieving journey.

Most importantly, be kind to yourself and do what you must for your mother.

My mother died in the spring of 2013, and I fondly recall and tell tales of her life. I also see things that I do that remind me of Mum. That used to scare me, but now it delights me.
