Having Fun as a Senior Also Means Not Being Profiled.

I haven’t been to the movies for quite some time. I used to go with my husband in the past, but after the first few years, we only went together when the James Bond movies came out.

The most excellent James Bond was Pierce Brosnan, of course, with Sean Connery as a close second. My husband disagrees on the best James Bond, saying Sean Connery was best with Daniel Craig in second place.

When the new Bond movies came out, we would go to the iMax theater and have a date night. Unfortunately, those movies were few and far between.

We didn’t go out to the movie that often because I wanted to go to murder mysteries — Murder on the Orient Express (1974), comedies — The First Wives Club, or history — Hidden Figures.

On the other hand, my husband likes war movies, historical movies, and historical war movies. Consequently, we don’t go to a lot of movies together.

Solution

When my husband and I downsized to a complex in a new community, one of the things that I loved was that a resident here organized movie nights. She would email each week or so about an upcoming movie, and anyone wanting to go to it would email…
