Thank you for this story and the care you gave your parents. The one thing I was wondering is ... you say that people entering their 70s should have someone accompany them to their medical appts. While if this is a serious concern and they ask for help, you want to do this but really, I'm 70 and wouldn't want anybody at my doctors appt besides myself. That said, I hope I would be able to ask for someone to accompany me if I needed the support.
