Love your honesty, Todd. I have worked long shifts in the ER and in the Poison Center and I didn’t get there overnight but I loved it. Now I am retired and have time to take classes and learn about writing. I have so much to learn and it will take time. I have never worked so hard in my life, nor have I wanted something so much. I am trying different genres just because. Whether I get any monetary gain or not it is still worth it. I am having the time of my life and I am meeting some of the best people. I feel like the token Canadian with all the Americans on Zoom, and have fun trying to figure out where people are from by their accents. I can’t wait to meet up with some of these people at a conference (probably in the next year … or two!)
Life should be lived and if writing helps you live your best life … well, have at it.
