Looking For my Mojo, Anybody Know Where I Put it.

Do you ever have a day where you feel that you can’t find any motivation? Yes, you get up, you do what you need to, but you’re just going through the motions.

I have the most energy in the morning. So if I start off without any excitement for the day, then it likely won’t get any better. That is one of the reasons that if I run it is always first thing in the morning. If it doesn’t get done then, it’s not getting done.

I used to think that it was because I don’t like the heat and if I start after 10 am then it becomes too hot for me to run. I’m not sure what reason I gave myself in the fall, winter, and spring! I’ve always been a morning person. I wake without an alarm most mornings. I want to be up.

I also want to be outside. The only time I use a treadmill is if it is icy outside. Fortunately, that might happen only a few times a year where I live. I try to run in trails and that helps with ice.

Running and Writing

Since I have begun to write I have found another reason why I like running in the morning. This is where I review my ideas for my cozy mystery. I go over conversations I want my characters to say and if they aren’t quite right I go…
