Luncheons, dinners and so many memories.

Yesterday I took a day off. A day off from pretty much everything. I did a two-hour call with my editor in the morning because it was booked but after that, I was done.

Life has been pretty hectic the last few days and I needed to play hooky. So I did. Boy did it feel good. I got caught up on a lot of prerecorded TV shows and movies. I didn’t snooze because I don’t do that yet.

I guess that is one more thing to learn in my semi-retirement. But the cool thing is that I can practice how to play hooky now that I have the time.

I woke up this morning, without the alarm, at 6:50 am which is still a sleep-in and I feel like I am back. That is the cool thing about being a senior or at least a retired senior. I can do that when and if I need to. No asking permission.

Today I did my 10-minute sprint with Shaunta Grimes on YouTube. Then did an hour walk with the gals from the complex. We had coffee before heading home.

Once home I jumped into the shower and then got ready for lunch with my girlfriends from my nursing school. We decided to have lunch at a winery not far from our home.
