We need to think about the benefits of aging. You might be thinking, the benefits of aging? Isn’t that an oxymoron?

This last month I have been writing a blog post daily as a way to develop the daily writing habit. Initially, I thought, just get it done. You can do anything for 1 month.

While I was struggling to complete this during the last week, I realized this wasn’t just to do this every day for a month but to develop a habit of writing every day. Period.

The reason I started to blog was to write about being a senior. I wanted to write about my experiences, and offer ideas and confidence to others that are now seniors or will be seniors shortly.

While I have been writing, I realized that there is a lot of advantages to being a senior.

Here is the List

  1. Learn more about yourself. Your personality isn’t permanent. (Thanks to @Benjamin Hardy,)
  2. The alternative is death. This is high up on the list for a reason!
  3. Being with old friends.
  4. You can be who you are. You don’t need to impress anybody.
  5. You can read anytime you want, for as long as you want!
