Hi Shannon. I am sorry you had to go through this. I was fortunate to never have gone through this type of behavior. My parents were strict, especially my dad, but I always knew how proud he was of me and how much he loved me. I can’t imagine having gone through the things you did as a child and as an adult. This is told as facts that make the post more poignant. Unfortunately, there are many children growing up in this type of environment, but it won’t be yours.
