Hi Shannon. A name is just a name. What you give to your daughter is so much more than her name. She seems to be well adjusted and happy with the name she has, proving you are doing a good job! You write with a name other than your own and are raising your child with another. Do what you are comfortable with but perhaps remember you want to teach her she is unique no matter her name.
