Hi Alison. We just got an Austrialian Shephard. She is about 6 years old and is just what we needed.Some of the people here have dogs but they are not able to walk them. We (and I use the royal we) are the dog walkers in our senior complex. A few months ago, one fellow asked why we didn't have our own dog and we said we were waiting for the right one.

Well we got her. Misty. I feel like I have a 2 year old again. I can't go to the bathroom by myself. I always have company. When I have classes on line she lays at my feet quietly. She is constantly checking on us. This girl is a sweetie pie. I take her on runs with me and never does she try to pull and go exploring. She sticks to me like glue.

My husband just had an aortic valve replacement and the few months before it was done have been a little scary. Having Misty here was our raccoon only a nice raccoon.
