This is what I need to get my butt in gear

It has been almost a month since I started blogging daily. Blogging is one thing but the publishing part is another.

When I first started blogging I was in a beginner's blog writing class with Shaunta Grimes I needed everything that she taught since I started with no skills other than having stories to tell.

One of the things Shaunta told us was to set a goal of just writing for 10 minutes a day. That’s it and if we could do that we should have a gold star on a calendar. That didn’t mean we couldn’t write for longer but that if we just got that 10 minutes in we would be able to produce a couple of blog posts in a week, or at the end of the year we could have the starting bones of a book. That was in July of 2018.

Now we all know that lots of times we are not going to stop at 10 minutes and we will go on and write for much, much longer. If we can just make the time for the 10 minutes we will start a habit that is going to serve us well.

The first time I started this was last August. I did the challenge of writing a blog post and publishing it every day. I didn’t think I could do this as I knew I would be in Winnipeg, Manitoba for a vacation to visit my son and his wife.
