Life gets complicated. I am a retired Nurse and was asked to go back to work last year due to the Covid virus. I work as a Contact Tracer.

It’s a lot of work, but a lot of fun. I’ve met new friends. It’s been11 months since I went back and I’ve been tested twice in response to a workplace exposure.

I have always been a very healthy person and have continued that into retirement. I might get the flu or cold once a year and usually, it’s due to my burning the candle at both ends.

It means that I will be off work perhaps for one or two days and that’s it. This year I haven’t taken a day off work yet. Of course, I am working only two days per week but still, I am going to be 70 this December, and the shifts are 11 hours each.

The last couple of days I have been feeling punk. I also haven’t been sleeping as well as I usually do. Could be the weather change. I don’t know. Anyway, I have been just plain old tired. Tell me this isn’t plain old age!

My next-door neighbor and I, both nurses, will be helping at the flu vaccine clinic in our complex. While we don’t call ourselves a seniors complex, I am one of the younger ones!
