Christmas Prep Can Be All Part of The Fun

We all have a lot to do around this time of year. I am busy cleaning and decluttering before I get ready for Christmas. Most Americans can include their Thanksgiving in the mix as well!
After a very long time of staying away from each other, I think we are now cautiously coming together. I think this year I am going to be more intentional in my decorating.
One thing I won’t be doing is cutting back on my tree. We always have a very tall live tree. It goes up around the first week of December and is down by Jan 1st or 2nd.
When we were looking for a house to downsize and retire to, one of the musts haves was a ceiling high enough to accommodate a very tall tree. For me, that means at least 14 feet.
I love Christmas and the entire season. My birthday is on the 20th of December and it was never lumped in with Christmas. My parents made sure that was my day.
November is the month that I do prep work or cleaning in the house. Then I am ready to decorate and put up the tree. Since I have one son home right now I will have him help me string the outside lights. He puts them up and I stand around worrying he will fall, He never does. I think I can still put them…
