Who is up for Chicken Marengo?
On your birthday you should be.
I think one of the best memories for me is the ones associated with food. I think of Christmas Dinner or Christmas Eve dinners.
Everyone remembers what that meal was because it was always the same. We all love the memories or the feelings associated with them. That is why we don’t want to change it.
I’ve talked to a few people that have said the Christmas dinner that they went to was all wrong. When I asked what was wrong they said it wasn’t Christmas dinner. They’ll say it was fine just not what you have for Christmas dinner.
What they mean is that it wasn’t what they always have at Christmas.
The same goes for me when it comes to birthday dinners. In our parent's home, we were lucky to have good food, and holiday dinners were always special. That included Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and birthdays.
Birthdays
Birthdays were included in that group. There was no having your birthday dinner on the weekend when it was more convenient. You had it on your day and everyone had the same request. Chicken Marengo!
