Be a Beautiful Cupcake in a World Full of Muffins!
Here are a few practical ways to beautifully get through life.
Yesterday I was out with friends. These are not just any friends, but my friends from nursing school. We spent three years living in residence attached to the hospital. It was one of my life’s best times, and the friends I made there lasted through the years.
Our get-togethers were fewer and farther between as we moved on. Some got married and raised families. Some moved to distant lands. Some went on with their education. Some did all three.
As we got to our fifties, we had more time for ourselves and each other. We supported each other. Everyone had a different response to menopause.
As we moved on, some of us needed to look after our parents, and we were losing them one by one. That is the way things go. Again we were there for one another.
Soon we all retired during our 60s. Our time to spend with one another became more important. We were there for each other as we developed issues related to health.
Fortunately, we are all still here. During Covid, we started emailing one another every Monday. We didn’t write much, just enough to let each other know we were still here.
