Are We Ignoring Our Environment Due to Ignorance?

Time to become aware.

Am I just getting old or am I aware of the things around me more. While it is upsetting, it is better that I am aware of what is around me.

Now that I’m not rushing, I see things I wasn’t aware of before. I am not always happy with this. Once you see things that are wrong and you don’t do anything about them, you don’t have an excuse to just complain.

Recently I saw a group of photos of urban dwellings, mostly in third-world countries. Well, the only way to describe those photos was to say they were disgusting.

The environment

I’m not an environmentalist. Not to say there is anything wrong with that if that’s your jam. Unfortunately, the press only wants to show extreme environmentalists. We rarely hear about those that are quietly going about their lives, cleaning up the roadways, removing the crap that gets thrown along the beaches, recycling, reusing, and reducing.

I have always believed in the saying put up or else shut up. Since I have never believed in shutting up when something is wrong I feel that I need to start doing something.

While I’m on a rant I might as well carry on. Yes, we need to help others but first, we need to take care of what is happening…
